neural complex of herdmania
In Herdmania there are three main Structure found as neural glands, nerve ganglian or brain and dorsal tuburicle. These three collectively called neural complex in adult the nervous system is simple and degenerate.
It includes a pink in colour elongated nerve ganglion which is absent 4mm long. So called brain or cerebrial ganglion. It lie embedded in the dorsal side between two siphon in most animal it is present closed to the neural gland.
The neural gland is excretory organ. It is light brown in colour and 4mm long and 1mm thick. It consists of several branching of periphareal tubules anteriorly it open into short narrow duct. The excretory cells are nephrocyte in blood. They collect waste product and pass into lumen of neural gland and discharge through aperture.
The brain consists of nerve fibres from the brain three nerves arise in which one enters into branchial siphon and two nerves into atrial siphon the whole of the Structure are collectively called neural complex.
